About

Hello, this blog is all about the History of the Philippines. Every Filipino uses history as a reference for their present and future plans. enhances our sense of nationalism. As a result, it is important for us to understand our national heritage and to be proud of it.

Studying history helps us understand how events in the past made things the way they are today. With lessons from the past, we not only learn about ourselves and how we came to be, but also develop the ability to avoid mistakes and create better paths for our societies.

How did the Philippines get discovered? the Philippines were claimed in the name of Spain in 1521 by Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer sailing for Spain, who named the islands after King Philip II of Spain. They were then called Las Felipinas.

Philippine history is fascinating in and of itself. The history of the Philippines is a unique story of colonialism, reaction, and revolution. It is also a culturally diverse country dating back to pre-colonial times. There is a growing trend in the country to study the country's social history (i.e. more on the day-to-day experience of Filipinos during certain periods) and uncover more stories beyond the usual stories taught in schools across the country.
